Professor Minerva McGonagall

She’s a woman, she’s a cat…she’s the amazing Professor Minerva McGonagall!

After the death of Harry Potter’s parents, Professor McGonagall took on a substitute mother roll for Harry, whether or not he liked it. She took on a protector roll as the Griffindor House "Mother" (if you will). She encouraged Harry to greatness by allowing him to join the house Quidditch team, she scolded Harry (and his friends) when they needed it, such as when they were late to class or battled the troll alone, she fought like a mother bear to protect Harry from the evils that entered his life from Harry's horrible family, to the evil Professor Umbridge; and she loved him as a mother loves her child. Her quick wit, and fiesty temper made her one of my favorite characters.
